**Petronas Advances E&P Technology with Strategic MOUs at ADIPEC 2024**
Petronas, Malaysia’s state-owned oil and gas company, has taken a significant step forward in enhancing technology and operational efficiency within the exploration and production (E&P) sector. Through its division, Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), Petronas recently signed two memoranda of understanding (MOUs) during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2024, which took place from November 4 to 7 in Abu Dhabi.

The first MOU, signed with Schlumberger WTA (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (SLB), aims to boost technical capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and generative AI technologies. This partnership is designed to integrate cutting-edge AI-driven solutions into MPM’s data platform. ### Second MOU with Velesto Drilling and NOV Inc
The second MOU, established with Velesto Drilling Sdn Bhd (Velesto) and NOV Inc, focuses on deploying NOV’s drilling automation system and robotics technology on Velesto-operated rigs. This collaboration aims to optimize drilling operations in Malaysia by improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting Petronas’ sustainability initiatives.
