New gas-condensate resources discovered in offshore Harald field

### TotalEnergies Unveils New Gas Condensate Find in Offshore Harald Field

In a significant discovery, TotalEnergies has announced the discovery of additional gas condensate resources in the offshore Harald field, located in the Danish North Sea. This development marks a pivotal moment in renewable energy exploration, bolstering Denmark’s energy supply.

The project’s success hails from the Harald East Middle Jurassic nearby exploration well (HEMJ-1X), which was drilled in the eastern part of the Harald field. This well encountered an impressive 48 meters of net gas condensate pay in a high-quality sand reservoir. The immediate connection of the HEMJ-1X well to the existing Harald platform is underway, with production expected to commence before the end of the year through the existing Harald and Tyra facilities.

“This breakthrough in the Harald East Middle Jurassic well, situated nearby our Harald facilities in Denmark, underscores the strength of our exploration strategy,” said Kevin McLachlan, Senior Vice President of Exploration at TotalEnergies. “The additional resources at the Harald field will enhance our existing production in the North Sea, aligning with the Danish National Compromise.”

TotalEnergies operates the Danish Underground Consortium with a 43.2% working interest, alongside joint venture partners BlueNord (36.8%) and Nordsøfonden (20%). This partnership is a testament to the collaborative spirit in the oil and gas industry, aiming to optimize energy production while reducing environmental impact.

With its operations stretching more than half a century, TotalEnergies plays a crucial role in Denmark’s energy economy and employment. The company operates over 80% of the country’s oil and 90% of its gas production. Moreover, TotalEnergies has made significant strides in emissions reduction, having ended routine flaring on its assets in 2023. Additionally, the company is actively developing carbon storage projects that could store up to 5 million tons of CO2 annually by 2030. In the realm of renewable energy, TotalEnergies is also involved in offshore wind projects, aiming to develop two such projects with a combined capacity of 405 MW, as well as exploring activities in wind, solar energy, and biogas.

As a global integrated energy company, TotalEnergies remains committed to providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions to as many people as possible. With operations spanning about 120
