OneSubsea to Provide Subsea Equipment for Petrobras’ Roncador Field

Petrobras, the operator, and Equinor started production from the first two wells of the IOR project at Roncador in April 2022. The P62 FPSO at the Roncador field is pictured.

SLB OneSubsea, a leading provider of subsea solutions, has recently been awarded a contract by Petrobras to support the further development of the Roncador field in Brazil. The project aims to enhance the overall production from this significant oil field, which is one of Brazil’s five largest producing assets.

#### Subsea Equipment Scope

Under the contract, SLB OneSubsea will deliver a comprehensive suite of subsea equipment designed to optimize the field’s operations. This includes:

– **Subsea Production Manifolds**: Two subsea production manifolds will be supplied to consolidate oil and gas production from multiple wells before directing it to the floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) units.
– **Electro-Hydraulic Distribution Unit (UDEH)**: One UDEH will be provided to supply hydraulic fluid necessary for connecting subsea umbilicals between wells and the FPSO units.
– **Subsea Control Systems and Toolkits**: Additionally, SLB OneSubsea will offer a range of subsea control systems and toolkits to ensure efficient operation and maintenance.

#### Field Services

The provision of this subsea equipment will be complemented by a suite of field services. These services include:

– **Installation**: Expert installation of the subsea production manifolds and UDEH.
– **Commissioning**: Ensuring the equipment is fully operational and functioning correctly.
– **Intervention**: Providing intervention services to handle any issues that may arise.
– **Maintenance**: Regular maintenance to ensure the longevity of the equipment.
– **Preservation**: Preserving the equipment during downtime to extend its lifespan.

#### Local Content Contribution

The contract places a strong emphasis on local content contribution, mandating a minimum of 40% of goods and services from local providers. However, SLB OneSubsea expects to meet a higher goal of 65% local content, thereby supporting the growth of Brazil’s national economy.

#### Manufacturing and Assembly

The subsea production manifolds and UDEH will be manufactured at SLB OneSubsea’s facilities in Taubaté (São Paulo) and Curitiba (Paraná), with the manufacturing process set to begin in the first quarter of 2025. The service demands will be met by factories in Macaé (Rio de Janeiro) and Rio das Ostras (Rio de Janeiro).
