Mintra and PaleBlue Team Up for Oil and Gas Gamification Courses
Mintra, a world leader in digital learning and human capital management solutions, has partnered with PaleBlue—a provider of training and simulation technology—to create innovative gamification courses tailored specifically for the oil and gas sector.
This partnership allows Mintra’s extensive user base of over 2 million individuals to experience enhanced engagement and improved knowledge retention through gamification. The new gamified courses, set to launch by the end of September, are maritime-specific and designed to increase the efficiency and safety of oil and gas operations.
Key safety-critical courses included in the offerings are “Confined Spaces,” “Working at Height,” and “Work authorization/ Work Permit Training.” These courses are available in English and Norwegian on Mintra.com.
PaleBlue’s courses offer an immersive learning experience that goes beyond passive consumption of information. The courses blend traditional training modules with game-design elements such as scoring points, leaderboards, and interactive challenges.
This collaborative effort aims to shift the focus from rote memorization to active problem-solving, ensuring that learners understand and effectively apply safety protocols in real-world scenarios. Learners can immerse themselves in virtual environments, collaborate with digital co-workers, and address real-world challenges in a controlled, risk-free setting.
At this year’s Stavanger-based ONS 2024 event, Mintra will be exhibiting at booth 3258, while PaleBlue can be found at booth 4100. The event program features various presentations highlighting the developments and advancements in the oil and gas sector.
