### bp Trinidad and Tobago and EOG Resources Partner on Offshore Trinidad Gas Development

In a significant move to boost Trinidad’s natural gas production, bp Trinidad and Tobago (bpTT) and EOG Resources Trinidad have entered into a joint venture to develop the Coconut gas field located in the Columbus basin, approximately 260 feet underwater off the southeast coast of Trinidad and Tobago. This partnership marks a critical step in accelerating gas production and ensuring a sustainable energy future for the region.

#### The Partnership and Project Details

The Coconut gas field development will be a 50/50 joint venture, with EOG Resources Trinidad as the operator. The final investment decision for the project has been made by the joint venture partners, with first gas expected to flow by 2027. This venture is the latest in a series of collaborative efforts between bpTT and EOG, following previous successful projects such as the EMZ (2011), Sercan (2016), Banyan (2017), and Mento (to be brought online in 2025).

According to David Campbell, bpTT President, this collaboration will accelerate production from the Coconut field, allowing them to accelerate gas growth while progressing other gas development opportunities, such as the Ginger field, at a faster pace.

bp Trinidad and Tobago, a major player in Trinidad’s oil and gas sector, operates approximately 680,000 acres off Trinidad’s east coast. The company operates 16 offshore platforms and two onshore processing facilities, further emphasizing its commitment to efficient and sustainable operations.
