**Brazos Midstream Expands Its Footprint in the Permian Basin with Significant Gas Processing and Gathering Investments**
In a strategic move to enhance its infrastructure and support the anticipated production growth in the Permian Basin, Brazos Midstream has completed the construction of a crucial grassroots natural gas processing plant and is nearing completion of associated new-build gas-gathering infrastructure. This expansion underscores Brazos Midstream’s commitment to providing high-quality services to its upstream producer customers amidst the region’s increasing demand for reliable processing capacity.
**Key Projects and Milestones**
1. **Sundance I Gas Processing Facility:**
– Brazos Midstream has reached mechanical completion of the Sundance I cryogenic gas processing plant in Martin County, Texas. This facility boasts a processing capacity of 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcfd) and is set to commence commercial operations in October 2024. This development marks a significant step forward in enhancing Brazos Midstream’s infrastructure in the Midland Basin.
2. **Gathering Pipeline Expansion:**
– The company is currently in the final stages of constructing approximately 175 miles of high-pressure natural gas gathering pipelines, ranging from 16 to 24 inches in diameter. These pipelines will span key areas in the Midland Basin, including Ector, Howard, Martin, Midland, Glasscock, and Reagan counties. Once completed, Brazos Midstream will manage a total of about 260 miles of gas-gathering pipelines and 10 compressor stations in the region.
3. **Future Plans:**
– Brazos Midstream has announced plans to build a second cryogenic gas processing facility in the region. This new plant will have a capacity of 300 MMcfd and is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2025. This expansion aims to boost Brazos Midstream’s overall processing capability in the Midland Basin to 500 MMcfd, thereby accommodating the forecasted production growth
