### Brazos Midstream Pioneers Gas Processing and Gathering Expansion in the Permian Basin
In a significant stride towards enhancing its operational footprint in the Permian Basin, Brazos Midstream has reached a pivotal milestone with the mechanical completion of its new 200 MMcfd Sundance I cryogenic gas processing plant in Martin County, Texas. This facility, slated to commence commercial operations in October 2024, marks a crucial step in the company’s strategic expansion plans for the region.
Brazos Midstream’s relentless pursuit of operational excellence is further underscored by the ongoing construction of approximately 175 miles of 16- to 24-inch diameter high-pressure gas-gathering pipelines. These latest infrastructure developments are set to seamlessly integrate into the company’s existing midstream network, ultimately equipping Brazos with about 260 miles of gas-gathering pipelines and 10 compressor stations across the Midland basin.
The Sundance I facility and the associated gathering infrastructure represent a significant buildup of Brazos’s presence in the Midland basin, which includes counties like Ector, Howard, Martin, Midland, Glasscock, and Reagan. These new assets are backed by over 125,000 acres of long-term acreage dedications from upstream producer customers, underscoring the company’s robust commitment to supporting regional production growth.
In addition to these immediate developments, Brazos has announced ambitious plans to construct a second cryogenic gas processing plant with a capacity of 300 MMcfd. Scheduled for startup by the end of 2025, this new facility will collectively boost Brazos Midstream’s overall processing capacity in the Midland basin to 500 MMcfd. This expansion is poised to not only accommodate but also significantly enhance Brazos’s ability to support forecasted production growth in the region.
Established in 2014 and having initially acquired its Martin County gas-gathering infrastructure in 2021, Brazos Midstream has been continuously investing in strategic assets to bolster its operational capabilities. The
