Brazos Midstream advances Permian gas processing, gathering buildout

**Brazos Midstream Enhances Permian Gas Processing and Gathering Capacity**

Brazos Midstream, a leading private midstream company operating in the Permian Basin, has made significant strides in its infrastructure expansion. The company recently announced the completion of its Sundance I cryogenic gas processing plant in Martin County, Texas, with a capacity of 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d). This facility will commence operations in October 2024, marking a crucial milestone in Brazos’s strategy to bolster its Midland Basin infrastructure.

Additionally, the firm is nearing completion of approximately 175 miles of high-pressure gas-gathering pipelines spanning the core of the Midland Basin. These pipelines, ranging from 16 inches to 24 inches in diameter, will significantly enhance the existing gathering system in the region. Upon completion, Brazos will manage about 260 miles of gathering pipelines and ten compressor stations, providing a robust and efficient midstream infrastructure for its producer customers.

To support anticipated production growth, Brazos Midstream has unveiled plans for a second cryogenic gas processing facility. Equipped with a 300 MMcf/d capacity, this new plant is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2025. This expansion will boost Brazos’s overall processing capacity to 500 MMcf/d, thereby addressing the historical underservicing of production in the area.

**Strategic Expansion and Financial Backing**

Brazos Midstream’s Sundance I and associated midstream infrastructure are part of Brazos Midstream Holdings III LLC, which is supported by equity commitments from Old Ironsides Energy, Encap Flatrock Midstream, Brazos management, and other strategic investors. The company has also secured a new preferred equity investment from EOC Partners, Elda River Capital, and co-investors, as well as expanded its existing revolving credit facility led by BOK Financial. These financial partnerships will enable Brazos to continue its aggressive growth strategy in the Permian Basin.
