**Tamboran Launches Pioneering Drilling Campaign in Australia’s Beetaloo Sub-Basin**
In a significant push to unlock the vast hydrocarbon reserves in Australia’s Beetaloo Sub-Basin, Tamboran Resources Corporation, along with its joint venture partner Falcon Oil and Gas Ltd., has commenced a groundbreaking drilling campaign. The inaugural well, named Shenandoah South 2H (SS2H), was spudded on August 30, 2024, in Exploration Permit (EP) 98, located in the Northern Territory, Australia.
This ambitious project marks the beginning of a major two-well campaign, with both wells targeting the Amungee Member B-shale at an estimated target depth of approximately 3,020 meters. The drilling phase is expected to last 30 days for each well. Once completed, the wells will undergo a comprehensive stimulation program utilizing Liberty Energy’s advanced frac fleet, which is being mobilized from the United States to Australia.
### Drilling Operations
The Shenandoah South 2H and Shenandoah South 3H (SS3H) wells are slated to be drilled using Helmerich & Payne’s (H&P) super-spec FlexRig Flex 3, renowned for its efficiency and reliability in deep well operations. Both wells will incorporate horizontal sections of about 3,000 meters, significantly enhancing the potential for gas recovery. The horizontal sections aim to maximize the reservoir contact, increasing the chances of high-quality gas production.
### Stimulation Program
The stimulation process is expected to involve up to 60 stages across each well, leveraging Liberty Energy’s advanced equipment to increase the efficiency of the process. This strategic move aims to complete more stimulation stages per day and optimize gas flows, thereby enhancing the overall performance of the wells.
### Initial Flow Testing and Project Timeline
The initial flow test results from both wells are anticipated in the first quarter of
