Tamboran begins Beetaloo sub-basin drilling campaign

**Tamboran Embarks on Ambitious Drilling Campaign in Beetaloo Sub-Basin**

In a significant milestone for the oil and gas industry, Tamboran (B2) Pty. Ltd. has initiated a comprehensive drilling campaign in the Beetaloo sub-basin, located in the Northern Territory, Australia. This campaign marks the largest single drilling operation in the region to date, underscoring Tamboran’s commitment to leveraging advanced technological capabilities to unlock significant gas reserves.

**Drilling Operations Underway**

Tamboran’s 2024 drilling campaign began with the spudding of the Shenandoah South 2H (SS2H) well in Exploration Permit (EP) 98. The SS2H well is being drilled from a newly constructed pad approximately 3 miles north of the Shenandoah South 1H (SS1H) well, leveraging a robust new pad that ensures efficient operations. According to a recent statement from Joel Riddle, Managing Director and CEO of Tamboran Resources Corporation, “The commencement of the Shenandoah South Pilot Project represents a critical step in our strategy to derisk substantial, long-duration gas reserves in the Beetaloo Basin.”

**Key Drilling Details**

– **Rig Deployment:** The drilling operations are being carried out using the Helmerich & Payne (H&P) super-spec FlexRig, which is equipped to handle the extensive horizontal sections required in this campaign. Each well will span approximately 3,000 meters, showcasing the rig’s versatility and capability in drilling complex wells.
– **Target Depth:** The Amungee Member B-shale is the primary target, with an estimated total vertical depth of 3,020 meters. This depth indicates the potential for substantial gas reserves within the shale formation.
– **Stimulation Program:** Once drilling is complete, the wells will undergo a comprehensive stimulation program involving up to 60 stages. The Liberty Energy frac fleet, mobilized from the United States, is expected to
