**Tamboran and Falcon Launch Ambitious Drilling Campaign in Beetaloo Sub-Basin**
In a significant move towards enhancing Australia’s natural gas reserves, Tamboran Resources Ltd and Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd have initiated a major drilling campaign in the Beetaloo Sub-Basin, Northern Territory. The joint venture aims to capitalize on the vast potential of the region, which spans approximately 8.7 million acres and contains Proterozoic and Cambrian tight oil and gas deposits.
### Drilling Operations
The drilling campaign, which represents the largest single operation in the Beetaloo Sub-Basin to date, involves the spudding of two horizontal wells: the Shenandoah South 2H (SS2H) and Shenandoah South 3H (SS3H). These wells are being drilled under Exploration Permit 98, with Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd serving as the operator partner holding a 22.5% stake, while Tamboran B2 Pty. Ltd. holds the remaining 77.5%.
Both wells will be drilled with an H&P super-spec FlexRig, which is expected to complete each well in approximately 30 days. Each well will include a horizontal section of about 3,000 meters targeting the Amungee Member B-shale at an estimated target depth of 3,020 meters.
### Enhanced Stimulation Techniques
To boost efficiency and performance, the joint venture is mobilizing Liberty Energy’s frac fleet from the United States to Australia. Each well will undergo stimulation with up to 60 stages, leveraging Liberty Energy’s advanced technology to optimize gas flows and increase the number of completed stages per day. This strategic move is anticipated to significantly elevate the overall efficiency of the drilling campaign.
### Future Production Plans
Initial flow test results for both wells are expected to be available in the first quarter of 2025. Following successful flow testing, the wells will be suspended as future producers to supply the proposed 40-MMcfd Shenandoah
