Tamboran begins Beetaloo sub-basin drilling campaign

**Tamboran Begins Beetaloo Sub-Basin Drilling Campaign**

Tamboran Resources Ltd. (ASX:TBN, OTC:TBNRF) has initiated the drilling campaign in the Beetaloo sub-basin, located 600 kilometers south of Darwin in the Northern Territory, Australia. The campaign is aimed at tapping the shale gas reserves in the region, with a focus on the Shenandoah South 1H (SS1H) well, which has been a central part of this venture.

### Drilling Operations

The SS1H well, which drills into exploration permit (EP) 117, has already reached a total measured depth of 4,300 meters, including a 1,074-meter horizontal section within the Amungee Member B-shale. The well has been cased and cemented, and a stimulation program of up to 10 stages over a 500-meter section is planned for December 2023. Tamboran is the operator of EP117, holding a 77.5% stake, while Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. retains the remaining 22.5% equity.

### Enhanced Permeability and Flow Test

The SS1H well was subjected to a 3-week soak period, which enhanced the permeability of the shale by absorbing stimulation fluid. Subsequently, the well began flowing on January 25, 2024, and underwent a 60-day flow test period. The results showed a steady decline in production, but with stable reservoir back pressure. The well produced an average initial production (IP60) flow rate of 3.0 million cubic feet per day (MMcfd) over the 1,644-foot, 10-stage stimulated length within the Amungee Member B-Shale. The exit rate trajectory after 60 days of flow testing indicated a steady low declining curve at 2.76 MMcfd over the stimulated length, with a stable 530 psi reservoir back pressure.

### Potential and Future Development

The successful flow test of the SS1H well confirms the region’s potential for pilot development activities. The area, occupying more than 1 million gross acres below 8,850 feet, is considered one of the best locations in the Beetaloo basin for pilot developments. Tamboran plans to propose a 40 MMcfd pilot project at Shenandoah South, which requires drilling six 10,000-foot development wells initially to achieve plateau production
